Welcome Bikers! Myrtle Beach Spring Bike Events Are Here!

Bikers are Always Welcome at Plantation Resort!

With the sun shining and the engines rumbling, it's time again for Myrtle Beach's famous Bike Week Spring Rally followed by the Atlantic Beach Bike Festival (Black Bike Week.)

The Myrtle Beach Bike Week Spring Rally, Carolina's largest motorcycle event, is May 10th to the 19th.

Thousands of bikers from all over come to ride the coast from Shallotte, North Carolina to Georgetown, South Carolina.  Myrtle Beach has been home to “Harley Bike Week” since 1940 with nearly a quarter of a million people descending on the Grand Strand area each May.  The week is packed full of events for all bike enthusiasts.

Nub the painter from the "Orange County Chopper" television series will be hanging out with East Coast Artie and Jimmy Jackson in the PPG Tent at Carolina RV just South of the Harley dealership in Myrtle Beach (and just a few miles North of Plantation Resort.)  Stop by and watch these talented artists stripe and airbrush customers' motorcycles and sign autographs.

Guided Spring Rally Poker Runs head South from Lakewood Campground on the 13th, 15th, and 17th to the Georgetown waterfront, Bucksport Marina, Conway, Medieval Times and then back North on the 14th and the 16th for a visit to La Belle Amie Vineyard, Medieval Times, and Wheels of Yesteryear Car Museum.  Both end at the Myrtle Beach Speedway where motorcycles run pace laps around the Myrtle Beach Speedway (source: Smith Living).  Find out more about events and times online at www.myrtlebeachbikeweek.com.

Held every year over Memorial Day weekend (May 24th to May 27th), is Atlantic Beach Bike Festival known as Black Bike Week

The Black Beach website claims that Black Bike Week is the largest black bike festival in the world!  Over 350,000 bikers travel to Myrtle Beach for fun, food, festivities and more.  If you love rocket bikes and the people who ride them, you won't want to miss this weekend at the beach.

Over 15 parties are planned, 5 large-scale night clubs are on board and hundreds of MC's descending for Memorial Day weekend all for the event.  Quoting from the website www.blackbikeweek.us, "Black Bike Week 2013 is going to be one of the best bike weeks ever!"  We have no reason to disagree!
