LIVE Charity Auction at Jamin' Leather to benefit Red Cross

Join Jamin' Leather for their biannual LIVE AUCTION!  They will be auctioning off leather apparel, accessories and much more!  This auction benefits Red Cross Disaster Relief.  If you would like to donate any items to be auctioned off, contact them at 800-795-2646.


Bras Across the Water

Barefoot Landing 

Freedom Boat Club, Cinzia Spa, FPS Showcase, Dick's Last Resort

and Barefoot Landing are teaming up to bring you Bras Across the Water, an event to raise money and awareness for Breast Cancer.  Come out to enjoy entertainment, food by Dick's Last Resort and a Survivor Ceremony with the unveiling of the bras across the water!  Lots of fun for a great cause!

Pink Your Flamingo Flock Walk

Barefoot Landing 

Put on your pink and head out to Barefoot Landing Saturday, October 11th to support the American Cancer Society and Breast Cancer Awareness.  The Pink Your Flamingo 5th Annual Flock Walk starts with registration at 9 am at the House of Blues.  The walk starts at 10 am with free breakfast buffet and party to follow at The Deck of the House of Blues.  Come on out, have fun and support a great cause!  Go to the Barefoot Landing office Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm to register or call the American Cancer Society at 843-213-0333.

Out of the Darkness Walk

Broadway at the Beach

The 4th Annual Myrtle Beach Out of the Darkness Community Walk will take place at Broadway at the Beach's Heroes Harbor next to Margaritaville.  Join the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention as they support those who have been affected by suicide.  Registration begins at 9 am with the walk starting at 10 am.

2014 Waccamaw Heart Walk

The Waccamaw Heart Walk will begin and end at Heroes Harbor next to Margaritaville.  Registration begins at 9 am and the Walk at 10 am.  Designed to promote physical activity and heart-healthy living, the Heart Walk creates an environment that's fun and rewarding for the entire family.  Your participation will help raise even more in the fight to save lives.  Walk with friends, family, coworkers or strangers you'll bond with along the way.  For more information or to register, click here.

Myrtle Beach Mini Marathon

Starting line is 2000 Coastal Grand Circle, Myrtle Beach

This amazing half marathon is a South Carolina Dream!  Experience Myrtle Beach Mini Marathon and experience a year round, nationally acclaimed vacation destination as you like it best…on your feet.  This surfing themed half marathon, with its surfboard finisher medals, surf style bands and awesome post race beach party is the new MUST do race on the Atlantic Coast.  The new and improved course features over 5 miles of oceanfront running!  After the event, pull up your beach chair and relax at Plyler Park by the main stage and enjoy the post event live entertainment....even take a swim in the warm waves.  Why not, it’s Myrtle Beach, come run and have an awesome time!

Harvest Home Weekend Festival

More scarecrows, more animals and more fun!  Brookgreen’s annual fall festival, Harvest Home Weekend is filled with outdoor activities the whole family will enjoy.  There will be favorite activities such as scarecrow building, pumpkin painting, hayrides, live entertainment plus some exciting new events.

42nd Annual Art in the Park

Tricks and Treats


Kids' Halloween Fun Day

Barefoot Landing

Dress up the kids and bring them to Barefoot Landing for Halloween Fun Day.  Registration for the kids costume contests begins at noon by the carousel with the contest starting at 1 pm.  There will be entertainment, kids' karaoke, free carousel rides and lots of prizes!  You're sure to have a hauntingly good time!

Nightmare in the Square Costume Contest & Party

Broadway at the Beach

The largest costume contest in South Carolina is back for another year!  Enjoy live music from DJ Barry in the square starting at 8 pm with the costume contest later that night.  1st place - $2,000, 2nd place - $1,000 & 3rd place - $500.  Enjoy free admission to the following clubs with costume: Revolutions, Crocodile Rocks, Malibu's Surf Bar, Rodeo Bar, Club Boca, Froggy Bottomz and Broadway Louie's.  Rain delay date is November 1st.

Terror Under The Bridge

The old warehouse built in 1890 just couldn’t contain Terror Under The Bridge any longer.  Terror Under The Bridge is in its ninth year and looking forward to putting fear in all that come.  If you are looking for Myrtle Beach haunted houses, this is the one to visit this season.

Watch out! There are all sorts of things outdoors that can get you!  Ever worry about jellyfish, copperheads, poison ivy or other scary animals?  This fun and interactive program will reveal myths and help you identify some potential dangers of our wonderful outdoor wonderland and ways to avoid them.  Appropriate for ages 8 to 108!  Free with park admission.

Gullah Geechee Program Series

The Fall season's presentation at Brookgreen Garden will be “Gullah Tings fa Tink Bout.”  Ron Daise, Vice President for Creative Education, will perform a concert of songs and readings from his CD of the same title.  Through a musical journey of rich imagery and evocative rhythms and instrumentation, viewers celebrate Gullah Geechee culture in the genres of traditional spiritual, blues, gospel stomp and clap, Gullah Geechee/West African pop and a Gullah Geechee/West African/Caribbean blend.  Themes highlighted are African Diaspora; the common cultural connections of food ways, language, rice heritage, crafts, music; the tragedy of enslavement; the importance of family; and the resilience of survival.  Programs in the Wall Lowcountry Center Auditorium and are free with garden admission.

"Sculpture Conservation" by Ted Monnich

Learn the basics of sculpture conservation in this informative program given by Ted Monnich, an objects conservator with over thirty years' experience in the field of conservation.  This lecture will be in the Fry Classrooms at the Welcome Center and is free with admission.

Andrea Wulf Talk - 'Founding Gardeners'

4th Annual Grand Strand Mustang Stampede & Classic Ford Show

Broadway at the Beach is pleased to host the 4th Annual Grand Strand Mustang Stampede and Classic Ford Show on Saturday, October 4th in parking lots 3 and 4.  This show will feature Mustangs, both new and classic plus many other classic Fords on display.  There will be an on-site DJ, 50/50 raffle, food and games so come out enjoy the fun and see some awesome automobiles!

25th Annual Georgetown Wooden Boat Show

The Georgetown Wooden Boat Show, always held on the third weekend in October, offers fun for the whole family.  The show will feature one of our nation's best wooden boat exhibits with more than 140 classic wooden boats displayed on land and water, a wooden boat building competition, children's model boat building, knot tying, maritime art and crafts, food and music.  A special attraction will be the Wooden Boat Challenge when teams of two race to build a rowing skiff within a 4-hour time limit and then test their boats for seaworthiness in a rowing relay on the Sampit River. 

35th Annual Loris Bog Off Festival Car & Truck Show

Mini Golf Masters
