Piggly Wiggly—122 U.S. 17 Business, Surfside Beach, SC The Pig always comes through for the holidays!  They are more than happy to set you up with all you might need for your Thanksgiving vacation and better yet, they're right next door.  Are you bringing extended family members?  No worries, their meals provide food for between 6 and 8 people.  They even have the Thanksgiving staple of the South—delicious Fried Turkey!  If you're less adventurous, they offer the traditional roasted turkey too.  And the best part is that when you stay with Plantation Resort we can give you a 10% discount off of your purchase.  They simply ask that you please reserve by the 24th of November. Just across the street from Plantation Resort you'll find a delicious option at the BBQ House. This fun restaurant offers 12-15 lb. turkeys that are just calling your name.  For a new twist on the turkey dinner, they smoke it!  They just need to give them at least 48 hours notice by calling (843) 477-1801. You can buy the turkey individually, but you'll surely be tempted by the wide array of side dishes that they offer.

Dickey’s has so many options for holiday food that we could write an article just about them.  Instead we've included this link to their website and highlighted the main precooked meals below which feed 12 and come with reheating instructions.  They will be closed for Thanksgiving and Christmas and they need 24 hours notice, so you'll want to call (843) 839-0209 and order your meals by the 26th of November for Thanksgiving and by the 23rd of December for Christmas.

You'll love the options that Bi-Lo is cooking up for this holiday season.  They can also help you prepare for a crowd as their meals serve 6-8 people.  They ask that you call (843) 650-4523 at least 48 hours in advance to allow thawing time. The turkeys are fully cooked, but when you bring them home you'll need 2 hours to heat them the rest of the way through.

'Tis the Season for Holiday Shows!

Myrtle Beach is Ringing in the Season with New Holiday Shows

Pirates are hanging their garlands, Palace Theater is decking their halls and Legends is filling the air with Christmas carols.  All of the big entertainment venues in Myrtle Beach have begun their Christmas Schedules.  You'll be sure to catch the holiday spirit during your vacation with these new holiday shows.

Pirates Voyage

Our swashbuckling crew puts a unique twist on Charles Dickens’ Christmas Carol as the notorious Captain Scrooge travels through the past, present and future of Buccaneer Bay.  You'll enjoy the same skill and showmanship that you have come to expect from Pirates Voyage but this holiday season you will also experience dancing toys, nativity scenes and lots of Christmas fun!

Palace Theater

Hot Jersey Nights will be adding some holiday classics to their already exciting lineup of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons hits.  Expect such songs as Walk Like a Man, Candy Girl, Jingle Bells, White Christmas, Big Girls Don’t Cry, My Eyes Adored You and Oh What a Night. 

Legends-In Concert

Hear some of your favorite Legends performers as they belt out Christmas classics in addition to the hits you love.  This season welcomes new tribute artists along with your favorites such as Johnny Mathis, Celine Dion, Blues Brothers, Alan Jackson and, of course, Elvis. 

Carolina Opry

Upon entering the theater you’ll be transported to a beautiful winter wonderland with 35 Christmas trees (including a 30 foot tree with 25,000 lights), 75 wreaths, over 5 miles of tree lighting wire, countless ornaments and mounds of snow.  This Christmas Special called, “The Christmas Show of the South” has much to offer in talent and enthusiasm. They’ve brought in such stars as La Toya London from American Idol, Calvin Gilmore and Rita Gumm. Watch out for the horse-drawn sleigh with real snow!

Alabama Theater

ONE the Show brings you a fantastic mix of traditional and contemporary songs that are sure to put you in the Christmas spirit.  This year it's called, "The South’s Grandest Christmas Show" and it has all the song, dance and laughter that you could ask for in a Christmas show.  Comedian Ricky Mokel also helps make this already amazing show even better with his family friendly comedy act.

Come be a VIP—Owner and Guest Getaways for October

Live entertainment, fantastic food and lasting friendships—there were so many reasons to love the September Owner and Guest Getaway!  When asked to summarize her weekend in one sentence, guest Deloris exclaimed “When is the next one!”  Well, to answer her question, we'll host the next Owner and Guest Getaway on October 18^th-20^th.

Deloris’s enthusiasm about the Owner and Guest Getaways is understandable after the exhilarating weekend she enjoyed being chauffeured by our drivers to restaurant and entertainment venues around Myrtle Beach.  Deloris, her husband and 14 other couples and friends came together for a weekend of fun that started with an evening at Damon’s Oceanfront Grill.  While overlooking the ocean, our guests enjoyed delicious food and exciting prize giveaways.  One of our guests won a prize simply by having the most pictures of her family in her purse.
