Exciting Myrtle Beach Events for November 2012

 
October is quickly coming to a close and Myrtle Beach is ready to kick off a fantastic November full of exciting events! From craft fairs to oyster roasts, you'll find something for everyone that is just what's needed to begin the Holiday season!


3rd Annual Christmas Bazaar, Community Coat Drive & BBQ
November 3rd, 10am - 4pm

Celebrate the season of gratitude and giving by attending Belin United Methodist Church's annual event. Donate coats for those in need, wander through dozens of vendor booths featuring local artists, baked goods, arts & crafts and more while enjoying mouth-watering BBQ fare!


20th Annual Cultural Arts Festival & Pauwau in Aynor
November 3rd - 4th, 11am

Each year, the Waccamaw Indian People invite visitors to learn more about their culture and heritage at their Tribal Grounds. Enjoy an educational and fun day with traditional drum and dance, storytelling, vendors, Indian arts & crafts and delicious food. Primitive campsites are also available on a first-come-first-serve basis!


40th Annual Art in the Park at Chapin Park
November 3rd - 4th, 10am - 4pm

Each year, this famous local event displays the best in original Southeastern art. Dozens of booths feature pottery, stone work, photography, jewelry, glass, fabric and metal works as well as paintings. The park also houses a playground to keep the kids entertained!


Souper Supper at Valor Park
November 4th, 12pm - 3pm

The perfect way to enjoy beautiful fall weather! Chefs from over 40 restaurants along the Grand Strand serve samples of steaming soup, breads and beverages to compete for the grand prize! Categories include Judges' Choice, People's Choice and Best Overall.


The 31st Annual Dickens Christmas Show and Festival at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center
November 8th - 11th, 9am - 6pm

Go back in time to a 19th century marketplace with hundreds of vendors dressed in period clothing! You'll stroll through beautiful aisles filled with clothing, toys, fine arts, crafts and gourmet foods. This is a great place to find beautiful decor for the season or that perfect Christmas gift for a loved one!


9th Annual Surf Fishing Rodeo at Huntington Beach State Park
November 10th, 6:30am - 4:30pm

Head over to the beautiful Huntington Beach State Park to compete against hundreds of other fishing enthusiasts! Spend the day reeling in bluefish, flounder, whiting and spottails. Prizes will be given for the largest fish in each category as well as for the largest catch overall.


The Lighting of the Landing at Barefoot Landing
November 16th, 7pm - 9pm

The evening kicks off with fireworks over the Landing to welcome the guest of honor - Santa! He arrives by riverboat to wish everyone (especially the little ones!) a Merry Christmas. You'll also enjoy a live nativity scene, holiday treats, carousel rides, music and Santa lighting the Christmas Tree.


9th Annual Murrells Inlet Oyster Roast at Spud's
November 17th, 11:30am - 3:30pm

This is a favorite event for locals and visitors alike! Indulge in all-you-can-eat steamed oysters while music plays across the Inlet. If you're not an oyster fan, they'll also be serving up burgers, wings, hot dogs, chowder and more!


43rd Annual SC State Bluegrass Festival at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center
November 22nd - 24th, See Schedule

Enjoy live performances of some of the best bluegrass music this side of the Appalachians! As you listen to the traditional sounds of the South, you can also browse a series of fabulous vendor booths. This is a great chance to experience local culture!


5th Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at Market Common
November 23rd, 5:30 pm - 9:30pm

After a long day of Black Friday shopping, enjoy a beautiful Tree lighting ceremony to ring in the holidays! Canipes will be serving complimentary cups of hot chocolate while you enjoy pictures with Santa, live entertainment and carriage rides around the complex.
